Previous versions of the emerging EDDC Local Plan had no sites for housing development in Payhembury. However, since the change of Government in July, EDDC have been tasked with looking again at potential sites for housing development in ALL parishes across the district.
In Payhembury the field to the right of The Old Vicarage, which also runs behind Markers Park, is now being looked at as a potential housing development site.
For the first time EDDC will be taking each and every site allocation decision in meetings fully open to the public, with reserved time for public participation and input from East Devon ward members as well as towns and parish councils on every potential allocation.
The meeting to cover sites in Payhembury (and Feniton) is scheduled for the 23rd September. Details on how to participate will be advertised as soon as they are available (on the Payhembury Parish Facebook group, the Parish Council website, the Parish Council noticeboard, etc). If you subscribe to the Parish Council news feed then you will also receive details that way.
EDDC have written to the Town and Parish Councils, and Payhembury Parish Council have asked that the letter be shared on The Facebook group, the website, noticeboard etc.
