Update on the construction of Paytherden Solar Farm – November 2026

Over the past few weeks, work on Paytherden Solar Farm has continued to make good progress. Perimeter fencing has now been installed around approximately a quarter of the site. Construction of the internal access tracks is also progressing well, with around 65% now complete. Over the coming weeks, the team will focus on completing the fencing and access tracks before moving on to preparations for the delivery and installation of the solar panel modules.

Deliveries of mounting structures are expected between mid-November and mid-December. We currently anticipate 4–5 deliveries per day on scheduled delivery days. These deliveries will be coordinated by the project team, and every effort will be made to minimise disruption to local residents and road users. As always, progress and delivery schedules may be affected by factors outside the team’s control, such as weather conditions.

Bluefield’s main contractor, Soventix, has been working to ensure that all lorries associated with the solar farm use the approved transport route. Deliveries of aggregates are being monitored to ensure compliance with the Construction Traffic Management Plan. It is expected that the number of deliveries will reduce during the second half of December and January.
