Parish Council News – April 2026

Parish Spring Clean – Sunday 8th March

Thank you to everyone that turned out to help with the Parish Spring Clean on Sunday 8th March – a lot of good work was achieved.

Two groups concentrated on fixing as many smaller potholes around the parish as they could – a lot of the larger potholes and damage along the edge of roads are too big for the Road Warden and his team to deal with. These need to be reported to DCC Highways who are better equipped to deal with them – https://www.devon.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/report-a-problem/report-a-pothole/ .

Other groups repaired posts around the village green, installed a new header board on the village noticeboard, cleaned and tidied around the War Memorial and in the playing fields, litter picked around the parish, etc. Thank you to everyone who took part.

Retirement of Parish Councillor Tim Cox

After many years of dedicated service as a highly valued Parish Councillor, including his role as Chairman from 2019 to 2024, Tim Cox retired from the Parish Council on 12th March. The Parish Council would like to express its sincere thanks to Tim for all he has contributed over the years. His knowledge, expertise, enthusiasm and unwavering support will be greatly missed by everyone and we wish him all the very best for the future.
