Annual Parish Meeting – 9.30am, Saturday 8th March 2026
What is an Annual Parish Meeting? It is a friendly, informal event held each year between 1st March and 1st June, where residents can hear what’s happening in the parish, share ideas, and have a say on local matters. It’s a great chance to meet Councillors and neighbours, ask questions, and help shape the future of the community. Everyone is welcome — come along and make your voice heard.
This year the Parish Council have decided to hold the APM on Saturday 8th March, immediately before the Payhembury Parish Spring Clean event – see separate article. People will be gathering by the Village Green from 9.30am, to enjoy a free roll and hot drink before starting work on the Spring Clean. The APM will take place whilst people are all together, before everyone heads off to spring clean the different parts of the parish. This is an ideal opportunity to hear about what has happened over the last year, what the plans are for the coming year and for you to let the Parish Council know what changes or improvements you would like to see in the parish.
So come along to the Village Green at 9.30am on Saturday 8th March, join in with the APM and maybe stay on to help out with the Spring Clean afterwards!
Transfer of information from the old village website to the Parish Council website
The old village website – www.payhembury.org.uk – is no longer being supported and relevant information is being transferred to a dedicated area of the Parish Council website – www.payhembury-pc.gov.uk/the-parish/ . If you are the contact person for any clubs, groups etc that were represented on the old website, please can you let me know if the contact details and information on the old website is still current, or what it should be if it is out of date. Likewise, if your club, group etc wasn’t represented on the old village website and you feel information about yourselves should be included in the new dedicated parish area of the Parish Council website, then please let me know.
If I don’t hear from a club or group that is currently on the old website, then I will assume they no longer exist and will, therefore, not transfer any information about them. If they start up again then they can be added to the new area at a later date. The old village website will continue to exist until August 2026, but may not continue after that date.
